PIER LAUNDRY
Pier laundry is the Isle of Tiree's first public self-service launderette. The launderette has 3 large washing machines and four dryers, all capable of taking large loads including superking duvets.  You will need your own change - lots of it!  There is an instruction board on the wall which explains how to use the machines and how much they cost.  Yellow Hare coffee and gift shop adjoins the launderette and provides seating where you may have a coffee or tea whilst waiting for your washing.   Cameras are recording 24 hours a day for security purposes.

SHOWER ROOM
The launderette also has a coin-operated shower room which accepts £1 coins. It's £1 for 5 minutes and each further £1 adds 5 minutes to your time.  Prepare as much as possible before putting money in the coin box (which is outside the shower cubicle) as it begins counting down as soon as you put money in. Take more than one £1 coin though, as the new £1 coins are temperamental and are occasionally rejected (this also happens with the washing machines).  You will need your own towel and soap.
